The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is set to begin on 30 September, with the opening match between host India and Sri Lanka at the historic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The much-awaited India vs Pakistan match will also be a part of the tournament, and its date and venue have now been revealed.

India vs Pakistan on 5 October in Colombo

The high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will take place on 5 October at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. As per the agreement between the ICC, PCB, and BCCI, the Pakistan team will play all their matches in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, instead of India.

Earlier, during the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, a similar hybrid model was used where the Indian men’s team played all its matches in Dubai instead of Pakistan.

In the Women’s World Cup 2025, Pakistan will also play against:

    • Bangladesh on 2 October
    • England on 15 October
    • New Zealand on 18 October
    • South Africa on 21 October
    • Sri Lanka on 24 October
All these matches will be held in Colombo.
