IPL 2022, GT VS CSK: CSK Finds A Few Positive in the Loss

GT vs CSK, a day at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai was used by Chennai as a chance to try three talents for the next season of the league since they are already out of the race for the playoffs in the current edition of the Indian Premier League. CSK gave an opportunity to the 19-year-old Matheesha Pathirana, N Jagadeesan and 22-year-old right-arm leg spinner Prashant Solanki. All three of them impressed everyone with their performances during the game.

Pathirana, with his slinging bowling action, which is quite similar to the Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga, picked up two wickets. He trapped Shubman Gill in front of the wicket on the first he bowled in the game. His uncanny action makes it hard for batters to decipher the pace and course of his ball. He also deceived Hardik Pandya. Similarly, Prashant Solanki was exceptional in his first match, even though he could not pick up any wickets. He bowled with an applauding economy rate of just 4.5 in his quota of 4 overs. N Jagadeesan did not stay behind in the lot as he remained unbeaten on 39* off 33, which included 3 fours and a thunderous six.
