Recently, RCB unveiled Faf du Plessis as their captain for the upcoming session of the Indian Premier League at the RCB Unbox Event on 12th March in Bengaluru. Fans and IPL franchises poured their wishes and congratulations on social media for the beloved South African player.
The official Twitter handle of Gujarat Titans tried to be cheeky while congratulating Faf du Plessis on becoming the skipper of RCB. The admin on Twitter for the newly formed franchise attempted to add some Gujarati flavour to the wish by modifying Faf’s name with the popular Gujarati dish Fafda.

However, RCB fans were not too pleased by the extra added punch by Gujarat Titans admin on Twitter. They termed it demeaning, cringy, creepy and uncalled for. Many fans replied in humourous fashion to let Titans know they have committed a huge mistake.

It’s apparent that fans were not amused by the tweet posted by Gujarat Titans and has rightfully called it out on the internet. The admin of Gujarat Titans on Twitter will be wary of posting tweets such as this in future.
Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face each other on 30th April and 19th May in Tata IPL 2022. RCB fans will be hoping that their side under the leadership of Faf du Plessis defeats the Gujarat Titans in both encounters.
