LSG vs DC at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai was a high scoring game in which Lucknow Super Giants ultimately won by 6 runs to register their 7th win of the tournament. In contrast, Delhi conceded its 5th loss of the tournament.

    LSG VS DC Highlights:

Lucknow, Super Giants, won the toss and opted to bat first. Rishabh Pant said he was in two minds, so it was better he lost the toss to be devoid of making any choices.

    Playing XI:

LSG: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi

DC: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya

    LSG Inning:

Lucknow had a robust start with both KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock playing attacking shots. De Kock scored 23 off 13 before Shardul Thakur dismissed him. However, Rahul then combined forces with Deepak Hooda to construct a long and frustrating partnership for Delhi bowlers.

Together they added 95 runs for the 2nd wicket, and Lucknow was 137/2 in 14.3 overs when Deepak Hooda departed on 52 off 34. LSG was looking set for a big total, but the batters after Hooda did not show the same application.

Rahul carried his bat till the 19th over and scored 77 off 51, including 5 sixes. LSG posted 195/3 in 20 overs.

    DC Inning:

DC openers had a bad day as both of them could not get to the double figures. Prithvi Shaw made only 5 runs, while Warner could only generate 3 runs in the game.

Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant played attacking cricket to bring Delhi Capitals back into the hunt. Marsh scored 37 off 20, while Pant added 47 off 30. When Rishabh Pant departed, Delhi was 120/5 in 13 overs.

Mohsin Khan took the important wicket of Pant and later on dismissed Rovman Powell and Shardul Thakur to extinguish DC’s hopes. Axar Patel played like a lone warrior in the death overs. He scored 42* off 24.

Delhi made 189/7 and lost the game by 6 runs.
