    The Match 16 of TATA IPL 2023 featuring Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians commenced on Tuesday, April 11, at 7.30 pm IST. The match was telecasted live on Star Sports Channels and streamed live on Jio Cinema App.

    Mumbai Indians (MI) emerged victorious against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 16th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Rohit Sharma received the Player of the Match award for his extraordinary performance with the bat.

    Mumbai Indians won a thrilling match against Delhi Capitals by chasing down the target of 173 on the last ball, with Rohit Sharma being the leading run-scorer with 65 off 45 balls, and Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan adding 41 and 31 respectively.

    Rohit Sharma, the captain of Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

    Delhi Capitals were put into bat first and after being reduced to 98/5, Axar Patel played a stunning innings of 54 runs off 25 balls to rescue the team. David Warner also contributed with a half-century before getting out for 51(47). Mumbai Indians did well in the death overs and took the final five wickets in 10 balls with Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla taking three wickets each.

    Mumbai Indians chased a challenging total of 173 and got off to a great start with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan adding 71 runs for the opening wicket. However, a run-out ended Ishan’s innings at 31(26). Rohit then partnered with Tilak Varma for a crucial 68 runs for the second wicket, but Mukesh Kumar got Mumbai back in the game by taking two wickets in one over. Rohit was dismissed for 65(45) in the next over with Abishek Porel taking a brilliant catch. Tim David and Cameron Green took Mumbai home in the final ball of the match after Rohit’s dismissal.
