The South African wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen recently smashed a 54 ball century in the ODI against West Indies to come into limelight. He was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023 Auction for a whopping amount of Rs 5.25 Crores.
Klaasen is expected to bat at either four of five for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023. However, the recent report claims that Klaasen can actually replace Harry Brook as number three batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023.
Both Brook and Klaasen are in fine form and are expected to score a lot of runs in the upcoming edition of IPL. However, England players including Harry Brook are going to leave the IPL early due to a one-off Test against Ireland starting from 1st June 2023.
ECB has made it clear that Ashes will be given priority over the Indian Premier League. Recently, Ben Stokes also announced that he will miss a few matches of IPL in the later stages.
Since, Brook is expected to leave sooner or later, Klaasen can be the perfect stable number three for SRH.
