Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has lauded Kolkata Knight Riders’ Rinku Singh, saying he has done enough to earn a call-up to the Indian cricket team. Singh’s remarkable performance came in the IPL 2023 match against Gujarat Titans, where he smashed five sixes in the final over to clinch a last-ball victory for KKR. Pathan, in an interview with Star Sports, praised the 25-year-old for his ability to execute under pressure and his consistent performances for KKR.
Singh, who has been a vital performer for KKR in the absence of Andre Russell, has impressed fans and professionals with his ability to bear pressure and produce results. With his efforts, the 25-year-old has proven to be a significant asset for KKR in the IPL 2023, aiding the two-time IPL champions at vital times. Singh has also been putting up strong performances on the domestic circuit, with an average of 60 in forty games and excellent performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Pathan believes that Singh has all the attributes selectors look for in players, and only needs to continue performing in the IPL to gain their confidence.
