KL Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. He was appointed the captain of the team in the previous IPL. His team did not fare well, and Rahul was criticised for his defensive approach and mindset in the tournament.

Many cricketing experts have claimed that KL Rahul’s defensive approach is one of the reasons why his team could not qualify for the IPL 2023 final. Recently, Rahul has been subjected to a lot of criticism in the international cricket.

Venkatesh Prasad has openly crictised KL Rahul and the BCCI selectors for giving him a lot of opportunities despite his bad run of form in the international cricket. Even Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of LSG, has once said that Rahul becomes too defensive even though he has an attacking game which can overpower the opponents.

If Rahul continues to be in a bad slump, then you can expect him to step down as the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023.
