The Delhi Capitals will be eager to secure their first win against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow, setting the stage for a thrilling cricketing spectacle.
On Saturday, April 1, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the third match of IPL 2023 will see the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on the Delhi Capitals (DC).
With nine wins from 14 games, Lucknow finished in the third position. Meanwhile, with seven wins from 14 games, Delhi finished in the fifth position in the TATA IPL 2022.
In the TATA IPL 2023, KL Rahul will be leading the Lucknow Super Giants, whereas David Warner has been appointed as the captain of DC in place of the injured Rishabh Pant.

Lucknow Super Giants
The absence of Mohsin Khan will be a huge blow for the Lucknow Super Giants. Khan has been ruled out of the entire IPL due to shoulder injury. However, the franchise is yet to name his replacement.
Other than that, the Lucknow Super Giants will be playing today’s match without Quinton De Kock, who will join the squad on April 3, after South Africa’s ODI series vs Netherlands.

Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals will face a significant setback in the absence of their regular captain and top batsman, Rishabh Pant, during IPL 2023. He is almost out of the tournament due to a car accident that occurred last year.
Other than Rishabh, the two South African players, Nortje and Ngidi, will miss also miss today’s match due to their national commitments. Even Mustafizur is also doubtful to play today’s match, but he revealed on Twitter that he will join Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
