IPL 2023 | MI vs GT: Mumbai Indians Coach Mark Boucher Happy with Suryakumar Yadav’s Performance

"It Was Just A Matter of Time Before He Translated That into Runs," Says Boucher After Yadav's Fastest IPL Half-Century Against PBKS

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is heating up with some of the most thrilling matches of the season, and the recent encounter between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was no exception. Although MI suffered a 13-run loss against PBKS, there was one silver lining in their defeat – the outstanding performance of Suryakumar Yadav. And MI head coach Mark Boucher couldn’t be happier with Yadav’s form.

SKY had come to the crease when the team score was 84 runs after 9.3 overs. He showed intent from the start and registered his fastest half-century in the IPL off just 23 balls, scoring 57 runs off 26 balls before being dismissed by Arshdeep Singh.

Boucher expressed that Surya’s innings would be a positive thing for the team in the forthcoming matches. “For Mumbai Indians, having him in some good form, hitting the ball so sweetly and playing the sort of devastating innings he did tonight, bodes well for the future for us going forward,” he added.
