Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match played yesterday (April 4) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Gujarat bowled first after winning the toss and successfully restricted Delhi to 162/8. The chase was then led by Sai Sudharsan, who scored 62* off 48 balls. Gujarat won the competition for the second time in a row, winning in 18.1 overs.
Anrich Nortje gave Delhi some chance of defending a total of 162 points by eliminating Wriddhiman Saha (14) and Shubman Gill (14). Saha was taken out by a fast nip back in, and Gill was also outpaced and put down. Khaleel Ahmed struck the edge of Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya with a brilliant ball from around the wicket (five).
The game was in the balance at 54/3. Sudharsan and Vijay Shankar (29 off 23), who was called in as the ‘Impact Player,’ contributed 53 runs for the fourth wicket to get the GT innings back on track. Considering the asking rate unimportant, the pair rotated the strike well while reaching the odd boundary.

After Shankar was dismissed, David Miller (31* off 16) accelerated Gujarat’s victory push. He muscled Mukesh Kumar for two sixes and a four in the 16th over.
Sudharsan then brought up a well-deserved half-century by ramping Nortje over the keeper. The last ball of the over was guided for six over fine leg as GT raced towards the target.
