IPL 2024 Auction Purse Left: Remaining Money With All 10 Teams

Among the 174 players retained, Kolkata Knight Riders let go of the highest number, while Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings chose to retain the maximum players for the forthcoming edition of the tournament.

Ahead of the December 19 auction, Indian Premier League (IPL) teams disclosed the lists of players they retained and released. Among the 174 players retained, Kolkata Knight Riders let go of the highest number, while Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings chose to retain the maximum players for the forthcoming edition of the tournament.

Following the retention process, here is the purse distribution for each IPL team ahead of the upcoming auction, listed from the highest to the lowest:

  1. Gujarat Titans – ₹38.15 Crores
  2. Sunrisers Hyderabad – ₹34 Crores
  3. Kolkata Knight Riders – ₹32.7 Crores
  4. Chennai Super Kings – ₹31.4 Crores
  5. Punjab Kings – ₹29.1 Crores
  6. Delhi Capitals – ₹28.95 Crores
  7. Royal Challengers Bangalore – ₹23.25 Crores
  8. Mumbai Indians – ₹17.75 Crores
  9. Rajasthan Royals – ₹14.5 Crores
  10. Lucknow Super Giants – ₹13.15 Crores

Hardik Pandya was traded to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans, and Shubman Gill was named the captain of the GT. On the other hand, RCB traded in Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians.
