IPL 2024 is just around the corner and the excitement for the tournament is rising after the auction became a celebrated affair. Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player ever in the IPL Auction history while Pat Cummins became the second most expensive player ever.
IPL 2024 is expected to begin in March 2024 and end in the May 2024. This year the tournament is going to collide with the Lok Sabha elections which are also scheduled during the same time period.

Election Commission of India is expected to announce the dates of elections in all parts of the country in about one or two months. After that BCCI will announce the schedule for IPL 2024 which is expected to take place in India despite the elections.
BCCI and the IPL governing council has made it clear that the IPL will take place in India despite the elections as the Board incurs huge losses if the tournament is scheduled to a different country.
