Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of competitive cricket for almost a year due to a back injury, is now fully fit and ready to make his much-anticipated return to international cricket. He is set to be part of the upcoming Ireland tour.
Bumrah last played in September 2022 during T20Is against Australia before his back injury recurred, leading to a prolonged absence. He has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru since undergoing back surgery in March this year.
According to reports, Bumrah has been bowling with full intensity in the nets and even bowled 10 overs in two spells during a practice match with young Mumbai batters, indicating his readiness for the international stage.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that Bumrah is fully fit and likely to be included in the squad for India’s tour of Ireland, scheduled to begin in August. This is excellent news for Team India, especially with the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup 2023 approaching.
It will be Bumrah’s second visit to Ireland, with his first one in 2018 marred by a thumb fracture during the first match, causing him to miss the first half of the England tour that year.
