Jasprit Bumrah, Sanjana Ganesan Welcome Baby Boy Angad

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and his spouse, Sanjana Ganesan, welcomed their first child, a son named Angad, on a Monday. Bumrah had withdrawn from the Asia Cup 2023’s Group A match against Nepal earlier, citing ‘personal reasons,’ which, as it appears, was to celebrate the birth of his child. Bumrah posted a heartwarming photo on Instagram featuring the trio holding hands, accompanied by a heartfelt caption.

“Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it,” Bumrah wrote in the caption on his Instagram.

Jasprit Bumrah, the renowned cricketer, and Sanjana Ganesan, a well-known television broadcaster, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Goa in March 2021. Their relationship had been kept private, unlike some other celebrity couples like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma or Hardik Pandya and Natassa Stankovic. Only a select few knew about the love story brewing between Bumrah and Sanjana.

Rumors about their romance began when Bumrah withdrew from the India-England Test match in Ahmedabad. Soon after, their wedding photos went viral online. Unfortunately, Bumrah’s teammates couldn’t attend due to strict COVID-19 bio-bubble restrictions.

After their wedding, the couple shared pictures together, and Sanjana even interviewed Bumrah during India’s tour of England. However, both later retreated from the public eye. Bumrah suffered a back injury, keeping him out of cricket for a year, while Sanjana mysteriously stepped away from broadcasting. She faced unwarranted criticism online, especially when she posted vacation photos on social media. Yet, she always defended herself firmly whenever trolls unfairly targeted her for Bumrah’s absence.
