In the final match, when Jasprit Bumrah gave only 4 runs in the 16th over of the innings, then Hardik Pandya took the responsibility of bowling the 17th over. This over was very important for both the teams from the perspective of this match. Hardik took the important wicket of Heinrich Klaasen on the very first ball of the over, who returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 52 runs in 27 balls. After this, Hardik gave only 4 runs in this over, which also increased the pressure on the African team. Suryakumar Yadav, from whom everyone expected a big innings in this final match, but he disappointed everyone there. However, Surya caught such a catch in this match that everyone remembered the moment of the 1983 World Cup final when Kapil Dev caught the catch of Vivian Richards. In the last over of the innings, when South Africa needed 16 runs to win, Hardik Pandya bowled a full-toss outside the off stump on the last ball of the over, which David Miller hit high in the air towards long off, at one point everyone thought that it would be 6 runs, but Suryakumar Yadav, with his brilliant fielding, caught the ball and first tossed it in the air and then after coming out of the boundary, completed the catch, thus ensuring Team India’s victory.
