Joe Root pulled off a magical moment in the England vs New Zealand first Test, where he went past 10,000 runs in Test cricket. He also reached his 26th Test hundred and his first hundred in the Test cricket in the 4th inning. He helped his team reach the target and gain a lead in the Test series against the current World Test Champion, New Zealand. The cricketing fraternity applauded his greatness and lauded him as one of the greatest ever. However, what surprised people more than his hundred in the match was his sorcery with the bat.

Here’s what magic Joe Root did with his bat:

While chasing the target against New Zealand in the first Test Joe Root formed an essential partnership with Ben Foakes. The duo helped put England in the winning position. During the chase in an over of Kyle Jamieson, Joe Root was at the non-striker’s end. He surprised everyone by not holding his bat and leaving it to stand up straight, much to everyone’s disbelief. No one could understand just how he managed to let his bat stand up straight without providing the bat with any support.

Social media soon erupted with the sorcery of Joe Root. People started sharing the video on their social media handles and wrote exciting and funny captions. His magical moment in which he levitated his bat has left fans amused and stunned at the exact moment.
