    The former Indian captain and one of the most prolific batters of all time, Mithali Raj, has announced that she is coming out of retirement to take part in the upcoming Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) 2023. She took retirement after the 2022 World Cup.

    Not only Mithali, the former Indian pacer who has taken the most wickets in ODI cricket for women, Jhulan Goswami has also returned to cricket to take part in Women’s IPL 2023. Both the legends of Indian cricket have come out to support and uplift women’s cricket in India by opting to play for WIPL 2023.

    Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami have registered for the Women’s IPL 2023 and are likely to be picked by a team in the upcoming tournament. Yesterday, it was also announced that Viacom18 had won the rights to stream WIPL in India from 2023 to 2027. It is also expected that the Women’s IPL matches will air for free on JioCinema.

    BCCI is soon expected to announce all the teams that are going to participate in the Women’s IPL this year and we will soon get to know in which team Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are going to play.
