Mohammad Amir was one of the best pacers for the Pakistan Cricket team.  On 17 December 2020, he announced his retirement from international cricket because of his rift with former Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja. As Ramiz Raja has been sacked, Amir is most likely to return to Pakistan Cricket in January 2023. Mohammad Amir said that he wanted to represent Pakistan in all formats.

Amir was always keen to play for Pakistan but Ramiz Raja had other plans for him. A remark regarding Amir’s anticipated return has been made by Wahab Riaz, who has represented Pakistan in a variety of formats.“We may see Mohammad Amir returning to play for Pakistan once again,” Wahab Riaz told Samaa News.

Pakistan’s several fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf are currently injured. Babar’s team has also suffered a 3-0 whitewash in their backyard against England’s Bazball approach.

Mohammad Amir is likely to return to international cricket after Pakistan vs New Zealand series. Let’s see which format selectors would want him to play.
