The BCCI has confirmed that physical ticketing will be maintained for the upcoming World Cup. However, there is uncertainty regarding the readiness of systems to implement e-ticketing in high-capacity stadiums in India.
In an effort to enhance fan experience and prevent long queues, the Indian board is considering the establishment of multiple ticket-collection points at the venues approximately a week before each match. The sale of tickets is expected to commence next week, but this can only happen once the revised schedule is officially released.
The BCCI is contemplating the possibility of altering the date of the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match originally set for October 15. However, officials assure that the eagerly awaited World Cup clash will still take place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Nevertheless, there are potential other changes being considered as well.

The potential reason behind considering a change in the date for the India-Pakistan match is its clash with the Navaratri festival, which is widely celebrated in the state of Gujarat. This could pose security challenges for the police forces. However, Shah has firmly denied that the match is being moved due to security concerns.
While no alternative dates have been officially confirmed, there are ongoing efforts to reschedule the match for October 14. This adjustment aims to minimize disruptions for ICC’s commercial partners, vendors, and cricket fans who have already made arrangements such as pre-booking hotels and flights to Ahmedabad for the original match date.
