Rishabh Pant was injured in a car crash on 30th December 2022. He suffered several minor injuries, which are easily treatable within a few weeks, but the injury that made people wary about his return to cricket was the right knee ligament injury. Recently, Rishabh Pant shared a Tweet in which he thanked the people who have prayed for him and supported him in this tough time.

“I may not have been able to thank everyone individually, but I must acknowledge these two heroes who helped me during my accident and ensured I got to the hospital safely. Rajat Kumar & Nishu Kumar, Thank you. I’ll be forever grateful and indebted,” Rishabh Pant wrote on Twitter.

He further Tweeted, “I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun, and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the BCCI, Jay Shah & government authorities for their incredible support.”

The Times of India has now reported that Rishabh Pant is going to be discharged from the hospital in two weeks after his successful surgery, and the rehabilitation process will then take about 4-6 months before he can make a return to cricket.

You can expect Rishabh Pant to make a come back in the month of August or September to the competitive cricket. However, weather he will be able to do wicketkeeping without any hitch is yet to be discovered.
