Rishabh Pant missed the entire IPL 2023 season due to a horrific car crash he was involved in December 2022. The accident left him with multiple injuries, requiring surgeries and extensive rehabilitation to regain fitness and strength.

According to reports, Rishabh Pant is likely to be handed a fitness No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical staff on March 5, allowing him to resume his cricketing duties and participate in the upcoming edition of the T20 extravaganza.

The journey back to fitness has been arduous for Pant, who has been diligently working on his recovery since the accident. He sustained significant injuries, especially to his knee, which required careful monitoring and rehabilitation under the supervision of NCA medical staff and physiotherapists.

The accident occurred when Pant was driving alone to surprise his mother at midnight at their family residence in Delhi. His car collided with the divider at the Delhi-Roorkee Highway, resulting in a serious crash. Pant’s injuries were severe, and he needed timely medical intervention to regain consciousness and start his recovery process.

Despite the challenges, Pant has shown remarkable resilience and determination, pushing himself in the gym and following a rigorous rehabilitation program. His progress has been encouraging, and he is now on the verge of making a successful comeback to competitive cricket.

If Pant gets the fitness clearance as expected, he could rejoin the Delhi Capitals squad on March 5, just in time for their opening match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 23.
