BCCI's Latest Medical Updates Reveal Progress on Injured Players, Pant Nearing Return to Indian Side for Crucial Series

BCCI has provided updates on the progress of injured players, including Rishabh Pant, on Friday, July 21. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna are in the final stages of rehabilitation and will soon make their return to the Indian side.

Rishabh Pant's Comeback Confirmed for England Test Series

KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have begun their strength training, showing positive signs in their recovery. Rishabh Pant, who suffered a serious car crash back in December 2020, has also made significant strides in his rehabilitation and has started light wicketkeeping training.

According to sources from the Indian cricket board, Pant is set to make his return to the Indian side during the crucial Test series against England. The five-match Test series is scheduled to take place in January-February next year. A BCCI source stated, “A realistic target for Pant would be to return for the five-match Test series against England in January-February next year.”

This means that Pant will not be available for the ICC World Cup in India, which is scheduled from October 5 to November 19. After the car crash in December, Pant has undergone several surgeries for his ligament tear and has recently shared videos of himself engaging in weight-lifting exercises, indicating his commitment to regaining full fitness for his return to international cricket.
