Shannon Gabriel returns to West Indies’ ODI squad after three years for South Africa series

Trinidad and Tobago's top-performing pacer set to make an early claim for the World Cup squad

Antigua’s fast bowler Shannon Gabriel is all set to make his comeback to West Indies’ ODI squad for the first time since the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Gabriel’s impressive performance for Trinidad and Tobago in the Super50 Cup has earned him a spot for the upcoming three ODIs against South Africa. The pacer took 15 wickets in seven games at an average of 14.2, making him a potential contender for the World Cup squad at the end of the year in India. With the team’s pool of pacemen running low, Gabriel has the perfect opportunity to establish his place in the team.
