Sri Lanka has to play a three match T20 International series against Team India from Saturday 27 July, but even before that the team has suffered two setbacks one after the other. Earlier Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out of the T20 series due to injury and now Nuwan Thushara will also have to sit out of the three-match T20I series.
Nuwan Thushara was injured during practice. In such a situation, the Sri Lankan team is in trouble even before the series starts. However, the board has also announced the replacement of both the players. Chameera’s replacement has already been announced, while Thushara’s replacement was announced by the board later.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has informed through an ex-post that fast bowler Nuwan Thushara has been ruled out of the three-match T20 series against India due to injury. Dilshan Madhushanka will join the team as his replacement. At the same time, Asitha Fernando has been included in the team in place of Dushmanta Chameera.
The Sri Lankan cricket board has given information about the injury of fast bowler Nuwan Tushara, “The player’s left thumb got injured while fielding during practice last night. The medical report received has found a fracture in the player’s left thumb. Dilshan Madhushanka has been included in the team in his place.”
The three match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka will end in four days. The first match of the series will be played on Saturday 27 July, while the second match will be held the very next day on Sunday 28 July. At the same time, the third and final match of the series will be held a day later i.e. on Tuesday 30 July. All three matches will be played in the same stadium.
For this, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has chosen the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. At the same time, the three-match ODI series will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, whose first match will be held on August 2, the second match on August 4 and the third match on August 7.
