Sri Lanka has to play a three match T20 International series against Team India from Saturday 27 July, but even before that the team has suffered two setbacks one after the other. Earlier Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out of the T20 series due to injury and now Nuwan Thushara will also have to sit out of the three-match T20I series.

Nuwan Thushara was injured during practice. In such a situation, the Sri Lankan team is in trouble even before the series starts. However, the board has also announced the replacement of both the players. Chameera’s replacement has already been announced, while Thushara’s replacement was announced by the board later.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has informed through an ex-post that fast bowler Nuwan Thushara has been ruled out of the three-match T20 series against India due to injury. Dilshan Madhushanka will join the team as his replacement. At the same time, Asitha Fernando has been included in the team in place of Dushmanta Chameera.

The Sri Lankan cricket board has given information about the injury of fast bowler Nuwan Tushara, “The player’s left thumb got injured while fielding during practice last night. The medical report received has found a fracture in the player’s left thumb. Dilshan Madhushanka has been included in the team in his place.”
