England Cricket Team defeated India in the 3rd T20i of the three-match series. However, India had already won the series by winning the first two matches. The 3rd match was a run-fest in which England scored a massive total of 215/7 in 20 overs.
England had won the toss and opted to bat first. Both teams have made a few changes to their playing eleven from the previous match. Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opened for England and constructed a partnership of 34 runs in 3.1 overs. Dawid Malan came to bat at three and played a blazing knock.

Chasing a massive total, India needed its top three to fire. However, much to fans’ dismay, the top three consisting of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, failed miserably. Kohli and Rohit scored 11 each, while Pant could muster only 1 run.

India was in all sorts of trouble when Suryakumar Yadav came on to bat in the middle. Yadav stitched a good partnership with Shreyas Iyer and brought back some hope into the Indian squad. However, Iyer could not last long, and wickets kept tumbling from one end.
On the other hand, Suryakumar continued his best knock in T20 history. He became the second Indian after KL Rahul to score a century for India while batting at number four. He also broke Glenn Maxwell’s record of most runs by a number four batter in T20Is. However, his effort was still not enough for India to win the match. India lost the match by 19 runs despite Surya scoring 117 off 55.
