Sunrisers Hyderabad made an astute move by signing Wanindu Hasaranga, who was surprisingly released by Royal Challengers Bangalore. The leg-spinner, being one of the best T20I bowlers globally, attracted attention in the auction. SRH managed to secure his services at his base price, adding a quality spinner to their squad. The franchise had earlier signed up Australian batsman Travis Head, setting the stage for a balanced team in the upcoming IPL season.

Wanindu Hasaranga is not just a skilled bowler but also a handy lower-order batsman. With an impressive record in T20 internationals, where he has taken 91 wickets and scored over 500 runs in 58 matches, Hasaranga brings a wealth of experience to the IPL. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him a valuable asset for any T20 side.

As SRH aims for a successful campaign in the IPL 2024 season, the Sri Lankan spinner’s T20 expertise and all-round capabilities make him a player to watch. Fans and cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipate how Hasaranga will contribute to SRH’s quest for IPL glory in the upcoming season.
