Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report, MI vs RCB Today Match IPL 2023: In the 54th match of the current Indian Premier League 2023 season, the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. MI are leaving CSK owing of their poor performance with the bat. Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis’ RCB struggled with the ball against DC. With 10 points apiece, both teams are now in the middle of the points table. The sole difference between the two is a tiny change in NRR (net run rate).

The pitch at Wankhede Stadium is well regarded for being ideal for batting. It’s a real pitch that allows batters to trust the tempo and bounce and hit through the line right away. The outfield here is lightning quick, and because of its small size, big scores are usual for both hitters and teams.

There is little room for error for the bowlers, and they can expect to be sent to the boundary even if they are slightly off their target.

This is a chasing venue; the chasing side has won three of the four matches played here this season. In the previous two matches, the team chased 158 and 186 with 1.5 and 2.2 overs remaining, respectively.

Despite its reputation as a high-scoring venue, neither of the past two matches had seen the team batting first score more over 200 runs. With the MI hitters regaining form with the combination of Kohli, Maxwell, and du Plessis among the runs, anticipate runs galore. The team that wins the toss will want to pursue first, and anything less than 190-200 will be difficult to defend.
