Women’s IPL media rights have been bought by Viacom18 for a whopping price of Rs 951 Crores. This makes the average price of each match in Women’s IPL Rs 7.10 Crore. Women’s IPL (WIPL) has become the second most expensive league after the Men’s IPL. It has left behind BBL, PSL, SA20, PSL and many more.
Women’s IPL will be broadcasted on the Sports18 TV channel. The online broadcast of the Women’s IPL match in 2023 will be on JioCinema, and it is being reported that JioCinema is going to stream the WIPL for free this year.

Earlier, it was revealed that IPL 2023 is also going to stream on JioCinema for free. Viacom18 is looking to establish dominance among the cricket streaming platforms by gaining huge viewership through free streams of IPL 2023 and WIPL 2023.
WIPL 2023 teams will likely be announced very soon. It was reported that most of the IPL franchises are interested in buying a Women’s IPL team. However, BCCI wants to keep the WIPL among only 5 teams in 2023.
