WPL 2023: Aakash Chopra predicts RCB’s losing streak to continue in WPL clash against UP Warriorz

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra predicts another defeat for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 match against UP Warriorz and expects Smriti Mandhana to perform well in the match despite RCB's poor form.

As the excitement builds up for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023, all eyes are set on the much-anticipated clash between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the UP Warriorz (UPW) on Wednesday, March 15, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. While the RCB has failed to register a single win in the tournament so far, Alyssa Healy and Co. have been in impressive form, trouncing the Bangalore-based outfit by 10 wickets in their last encounter.

Renowned cricket commentator Aakash Chopra shared his insights on the upcoming game in a video on his YouTube channel, where he predicts that the RCB’s losing streak will continue, leading to their elimination from the tournament. However, he expects the talented Smriti Mandhana to showcase her skills and score big despite facing tough opposition from Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma.

Chopra also suggests that RCB, while out of contention for the knockout stage, could still play the role of party poopers and ruin someone else’s chances. In contrast, a win for UPW would keep the pressure on Delhi Capitals and keep them in the race for a playoff spot.

UP Worrierz

Chopra further analyzes the UPW team, highlighting their strong spin-bowling lineup but pointing out a slight weakness in the seam-bowling department. He also acknowledges the team’s middle-order batting as an area of concern but expects the dynamic Grace Harris to play ahead of Shabnim Ismail in Wednesday’s game.
