The 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship is an ongoing tournament of Test Cricket which is the third edition of the ICC World Test Championship. It started in June 2023 with The Ashes, which was contested between England and Australia, and it is scheduled to finish in June 2025 with the final match planned to be played at Lord’s.
The tournament consists of 27 series and 69 matches in the league stage. The top two teams in the points table compete at the final at Lord’s, London. Each team plays six series, three at home and three away, with each series containing two to five Test matches. In this article, we will take a look at the WTC Points Table 2024.

Ongoing Test Series That Affects WTC Points Table 2024
IND vs ENG, 5 Test Match Series
Following their defeat in the first Test of the series in Hyderabad, India had slipped down to fifth on the 2023-2025 WTC points table. However, their series-levelling victory in the second Test in Vizag has brought them right back up to No.2. This was India’s third victory from their sixth game in the cycle. With two defeats and a draw to go with it, their points percentage stands at 52.77 currently, 2.23 per cent behind Australia’s, who are at the top with 55 per cent.
England suffered their third defeat of the cycle from their seventh game as their points percentage fell to 25. They are eighth on the table, with only Sri Lanka, who are yet to win a Test in the 2023-2025 WTC cycle, beneath them. Above England are West Indies, who have won one and drawn one game out of four. Their points percentage stands at 33.33 per cent.
NZ vs SA, 2 Match Test Series
South Africa tour of New Zealand will have a total of 2 Tests will be played as a part of this tour. Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, and Seddon Park, Hamilton will be hosting these two games. Neil Brand will be leading the South African side, while Tim Southee will be captaining the New Zealand side.
Raynard van Tonder, Ruan de Swardt, and Duanne Olivier are among the key players from the South African side. On the other hand, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, and Rachin Ravindra are among the vital players from the New Zealand team.
These two teams have played a total of 46 games against each other in the Test format so far, where South Africa won 25 matches while New Zealand won 5 games. South Africa is currently positioned on the third spot in the WTC Points Table 2024. New Zealand, on the other hand is on fourth spot.
AUS vs WI, 2 Match Test Series
Australia still holds the top spot in ICC World Test Championship points table 2023-25 after their Test series against West Indies. AUS vs WI 2nd Test was a nail-biting encounter. West Indies showed a marvellous form to outplay Australia in the match.
In the end, West Indies won by 8 runs. However, the result didn’t make huge changes in ICC World Test Championship points table. West Indies currently holds the seventh postion on WTC Points Table 2024.
