At the IPL 2023 auction, CSK will be looking to fill some vacant spots in their squad. #1 Sam Curran
With an impressive performance in the recent T20 World Cup held in Australia, Sam Curran is one of the most expected players to go big in the upcoming mini-auction. The English all-rounder played for Chennai Super Kings in the 2020 and 2021 IPL seasons but missed the 2022 edition due to injury.

Curran meets all the requirements for the overseas fast bowler slot at CSK, including the ability to bowl well in the death overs. Consequently, Chennai Super Kings are likely to put up a strong bid for him at the auction.
#2 Harry Brook
The Chennai Super Kings could use an experienced spin bowler in the middle order for the 2022 season. England’s Harry Brook would be a good fit for this role.
Brook could bat at number four. He has the ability to take advantage of conditions when the ball gets a bit older and attack. This would put pressure on the opposition and give the Super Kings an edge.
#3 Riley Meredith
With Adam Milne being released ahead of the mini-auction 2023, the Chennai Super Kings are in need of a fast bowler. Riley Meredith is one of the most suitable options available.
Meredith has shown remarkable potential and can be groomed into a very successful player under the guidance of MS Dhoni. He will be available at a very reasonable price and could be a very valuable asset to the team.
#4 Narayan Jagadeesan
There’s no doubt that the Tamil Dadu keeper-batsman should be one of CSK’s top targets in the upcoming auction. His recent performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy–830 runs in 8 innings at an average of 138.33–have been terrific, and he would give CSK the option of playing an Indian keeper-batsman in the XI. CSK released him just before the domestic tournament, but seeing his potential and capability, they should buy him back.
