Tamil Nadu batter N Jagadeesan shattered all records during his innings of 277 against Arunachal Pradesh in Chinnaswamy stadium. He broke the record of 268 scored by Alistair Brown in English County Cricket, way back in 2022. In addition, Jagadeesan’s 277 surpasses Sripali Weerakkody’s 271 not out against Pushpadana Ladies in the 2007 Sri Lanka Women’s One-Day competition as the best score in all of List A cricket.

List of All Records Shattered by N Jagadeesan

    • In men’s List A cricket, Jagadeesan became the first player to score 100 points in five straight innings. Previously, three batters—Kumara Sangakkara in 2014–15, Alviro Petersen in 2015–16, and Devdutt Padikkal in 2020–21—had four consecutive centuries.
    • Tamil Nadu scored 506 for 2 against Arunachal in this match, becoming the first men’s List A cricket side to reach that mark. The previous record was 498 for 4 against the Netherlands earlier this year by England.
    • N Jagadeesan also hold the record for joint fastest double century with Travis Head. Both scoring double century in just 114 balls.
    • Jagadeesan and Sai Sudharshan become the first pair to have a partnership of 400 runs in Men’s List A Cricket. The previous highest partnership was 372 between Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels for the second wicket against Zimbabwe in 2015 in which Universe Boss scored his first double-century.
    • The most by any batter in a Vijay Hazare Trophy competition, Jagadeesan now holds the record with five hundreds. The four players with four hundreds each were Virat Kohli (2008-09), Devdutt Padikkal (2020-21), Prithvi Shaw (2020-21), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (2021-22).
    • The most by any batter in an innings for the Vijay Hazare Trophy is a record 15 sixes by N Jagadeesan in his 277-piece performance. During his 203 against Jharkhand in the 2019–20 season, Yashasvi Jaiswal set the old record with 12 sixes.
    • Jagadeesan scored 799 runs in the tournament, the second most by any batter in single edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy. The record for most runs in an edition is 827 by Prithvi Shaw during the 2020-21 season.
