IPL 2023 MI vs KKR: Hrithik Shokeen and Nitish Rana fined for their on-field fight; Suryakumar Yadav fined for slow over-rate

Hrithik Shokeen and Nitish Rana clashed with each other during the match between MI and KKR.


IPL 2023, MI vs KKR: In IPL 2023, on Sunday, April 16, the match was played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match, there was a heated debate between KKR captain Nitish Rana and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hrithik Shokeen. This fight proved costly for both. Hrithik Shokeen and Nitish Rana clashed with each other during the ninth over of the first innings. For this both were fined. At the same time, Suryakumar Yadav, who was captaining for the first time in IPL, was also fined in this match. Surya was fined for slow over rate.  

Nitish Rana and Hrithik Shokeen had a costly fight

KKR’s Nitish Rana was fined 25 percent of his match for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct, while Shokeen was handed a 10 percent fine. Both players admitted to the Level 1 Offense under Article 2.21 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, a media release said. The Match Referee’s decision is final and binding for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct.

Suryakumar Yadav also fined in his debut match as MI’s captain

Also, Mumbai Indians captain Suryakumar Yadav has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their IPL match against KKR. Since it was his team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s code of conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, Suryakumar was fined Rs 12 lakh.
