RCB vs RR, the qualifier 2 of Tata IPL 2022, turned out to be a lopsided encounter in which Rajasthan Royals easily defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets and 11 balls to spare.
Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rajasthan’s bowling unit proved their captain right with some exceptional line and length to restrict RCB to a below-par total.
Prasidh Krishna was the first to crush RCB fans’ hopes by dismissing Virat Kohli for a measly individual score of 7 runs.
Faf du Plessis played an uncharacteristic knock and registered only 25 runs with a strike of 92. Obed McCoy removed du Plessis.
Maxwell replaced Faf and tried to up the ante with Rajat Patidar. However, both of them did not last long enough. Patidar scored 58 off 42 before Ashwin sent him back.
On the other hand, Maxwell managed 24 off 13 before Boult showed him the exit door. The rest of the batting line-up crumbled under pressure.

Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy finished with 3 wickets each in the significant match. RCB finished with 157/8 in 20 overs.
In reply, Rajasthan Royals were always in control of the chase. Yashasvi Jaiswal went gun-blazing during the powerplay to extinguish the fire out of the match.
After Jaiswal, the man in form, Jos Buttler took it upon himself to take RR to the final. Buttler remained unbeaten on 106* off 60 to guide his team to the victory in qualifier 2.
RR will face GT in the final of IPL 2022 at the same venue on 29th May 2022.
