    The eagerly awaited first Test match between India and West Indies is set to take place at Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica from July 12 to July 16. Team India is ready for a comprehensive tour of West Indies in July, encompassing all formats of the game. The official schedule released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) includes two Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and a five-match T20 International series, commencing on July 12.     In an outstanding debut performance, Yashasvi Jaiswal shone with an unbeaten and magnificent score of 143, while skipper Rohit Sharma showcased his prowess with a remarkable 10th Test century. Their impressive batting display allowed India to firmly establish control in the 1st Test against the West Indies.

    While Jaiswal exhibited maturity in his century, Sharma departed after a well-constructed 103. As a result, India ended the second day of the first Test at a commanding 312 for two in their first innings, in response to West Indies’ all-out total of 150. Batting at the number three position, Shubman Gill, unfortunately, fell early, managing only six runs. At the close of play, Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 36, providing valuable support to Jaiswal at the crease. With this solid performance, India now holds a significant lead of 162 runs over West Indies.

    On the first day of the Test match, Ravichandran Ashwin played a crucial role in putting India in control of the proceedings with an impressive five-wicket haul. Alongside him, spinner Ravindra Jadeja also made a notable contribution by taking three wickets. Their collective efforts added to India’s dominance in the match.     The weather forecast indicates that the first and last sessions of the day will be slightly overcast, while the rest of Day 3 is expected to be clear. There is a minimal chance of rain, with only a 7% possibility in the morning and around 5% for the entire day. It is hopeful that these conditions will not interrupt the match later in the day. The temperature in the morning is anticipated to be around 30°C and is likely to remain consistent throughout the day. The wind is forecasted to blow at a speed of approximately 26-30KMPH, gusting towards the east. Humidity levels will be relatively high at 75%. Therefore, there is no likelihood of rain today, and we can look forward to a healthy and enjoyable Day 3 of the IND vs WI 1st test match.
