Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain for the T20 series against Sri Lanka. He led the Indian team in the T20 series against New Zealand as well, and there are clear indications that BCCI is going to phase out veteran players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the T20 team India.

Hardik Pandya said, “winning the World Cup is the biggest new year resolution.” He has made it intentionally clear that he is going to give his all for the upcoming ODI World Cup in India. The ICC CWC 2023 will begin in October 2023.

Currently, Hardik Pandya has to beat Sri Lanka emphatically in the upcoming T20 series to make sure BCCI realises that he is the player that the cricket board can count on as the captain for India in future.

Hardik Pandya, in his press conference before the 1st T20 against Sri Lanka, said that Rishabh Pant is one of the best wicketkeeper batters that India has right now, and he is praying for his quick recovery. He also said that India is going to miss Rishabh Pant in 2023.
