IPL has been in business for the past 14 years and a lot of players have risen to be stars, and thus we have built a possible all-time IPL XI. IPL 2022 is set to commence its operations of 15th edition on 26th March 2022. The cash-rich tournament which, began in 2008 with the legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, etc, has emerged to be the best T20 league around the globe.

Even after 14 seasons, the craze for the game isn’t declining and has produced some star players for the Indian cricket team as well. For instance; Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Devdutt Padikkal, Varun Chakravarthy and many more.

Before the beginning of the 15th season of IPL, we want to take a look and imagine what a team of 11 players would look like if it had all the finest players from the tournament history. We have handpicked players and made an imaginable team. A best all-time IPL XI.

Here’s The IPL XI Of All Time-

    1) Rohit Sharma

Omitting the 5 times champion captain Rohit Sharma from all-time IPL XI will be a crime. Since the time Rohit started opening the innings in 2013, he has been the best opener in international cricket.  Rohit Sharma has scored 5611 runs in 213 IPL matches at an average of around 31.

    2) David Warner

David Warner is one of the finest overseas players who has been a part of IPL. The Aussie batter has played 150 IPL games and scored over 5400 runs. Overall, he is the 5th highest run-scorer in IPL history. Who would not have a player of this caliber in their all-time IPL XI?

    3) Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli or King Kohli or Run Machine is the world-class batsman India has ever produced. What all you want as proof of this player’s potential when he is compared with the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar for his exceptional performances. Moreover, he is the leading run-scorer in IPL history.

    4) Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina, better known as the Mr. IPL for his consistency and match-winning innings in IPL enters our IPL XI at the number 4 batting position. Chinna Thala was the first player to go past the 5000 runs in IPL history. Moreover, he has played the maximum number of consecutive IPL matches without missing a match. On top of that, he achieved the feat of scoring 400 or more runs consecutively from 200-2016 IPL.

    5) AB de Villiers

If you want wonders or unimaginable tasks to be done, then AB de Villiers is a necessity for your team. Whether you are chasing a total or setting a target, the superman from South Africa will obliterate the opponent’s bowling attack. A strike rate of over 150 and an average of nearly 40 in 184 IPL games speaks the force this man brings in the team.

    6) MS Dhoni (C & WK)

The greatest captain and finisher of all time- MS. Dhoni. MS Dhoni has led CSK to 9 IPL finals. These numbers are fiction for any captain. However, he is highly praised for his batting at dept and finishing the games with his calculative approach. When Dhoni is on strike, no chase seems to be out of control. IPL Stats- 220 matches and 4746 runs at an average of 39.55.

    7) Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja or Sir Ravindra Jadeja who can make you win your matches with a ball to spare when your team needs 2 runs on the last ball and still after been getting caught on the final delivery. That’s the supremacy Jadeja has set in the IPL. An in-demand all-rounder for the balance of team who has scored over 2300 runs and taken 127 wickets at an economy close to 7.50.

    8) Dwayne Bravo

Dj Bravo and his humorous dance celebration must be included in all-time IPL XI. However, the all-rounder has been the pre-eminent death bowler for CSK. A miser for runs in death overs that puts the opposition one step backward in the game.  Bravo has 167 wickets to his name merely in 148 innings. A requisite in our all-time IPL XI.

    9) Rashid Khan

The young Afghanistan leg spinner paves his wave in all-time IPL XI due to his caliber and wrist magic. Even on his bad days, the bowler has been tight with his bowling and doesn’t even leak more than 24-26 runs in a match. A 6.33 economy in 76 matches and has 93 wickets in his pocket. An unimaginable figure for a young spinner in batting dominant format of the game.

    10) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

One of the noteworthy swing bowlers required by every team. Bhuvi has been consistent with his bowling throughout the IPL. His bowling account reads 142 wickets in 132 matches with an economy close to 7.3.

    11) Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah replaces Lasith Malinga from our all-time IPL XI solely due to him holding an edge of not being an overseas. Jasprit Bumrah with his unique bowling action is a look-alike of Lasith Malinga and even produces toe-crushing yorkers. He is still young and already has 130 wickets in 106 IPL matches. He will surely be counted as a legend for his bowling performances. He is merely 28 years old and 40 wickets behind the IPL’s leading wicket-taker Lasith Malinga.

Do let us know your opinions regarding our all-time IPL XI.
