In the seventh game of the Women’s Premier League’s second edition, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (BAN-W) will clash with Delhi Capitals Women (DEL-W) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Thursday, February 29. RCB-W secured a victory over Gujarat Giants Women in their second match of the WPL season 2. Led by Smriti Mandhana, RCB-W also emerged victorious in their opening game against UP Warriorz Women by a narrow margin of two runs. Displaying dominance against the Gujarat-based franchise, BAN-W sealed the match with 8 wickets in hand and 7.3 overs to spare.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals faced defeat in their tournament opener against the defending champions in the season’s curtain-raiser. However, they bounced back impressively in their subsequent match against UP-W, clinching victory by 9 wickets. Led by skipper Meg Lanning and opener Shafali Verma, Delhi Capitals’ batting onslaught saw them dominate the UP bowlers, forging a formidable partnership of 119 runs. With both BAN-W and DEL-W arriving on the back of resounding victories, their upcoming encounter promises to be a closely contested battle.
