  • T20 World Cup- Watch Matthew Hayden Fiery Dressing Room Speech in Pakistan Dug Out

Pakistan defied all expectations to defeat Bangladesh by five wickets and go to the T20 World Cup semifinals. The Netherlands’ stunning victory over South Africa gave Pakistan new life.

Matthew Hayden with his never die attitude gave a fiery dressing room speech to boost the Pakistan team players.

“If not for Dutch, perhaps, well not perhaps, we’re not here. Now we’re here and it’s powerful because no one wants to see us here and that’s the element of surprise that we have got the advantage of,” batting coach Matthew Hayden can be heard saying to Pakistan players.

“There was that kind of thinking that potentially it was going to be a different result but the moment that Pakistan cricket fires off with intent and starts to reveal its teeth, they become a real threat. There will be no one in this world, in this competition that would want to face us right now, not one. They thought that they got rid of us. Now, they’re not going to get rid of us,” Hayden said.

Earlier Babar Azam captain of Pakistan Cricket also helped his teammates with a motivational speech

“We had belief. We got some light and we played to ensure we got into semis today. We were excited and nervous but it did not affect our performance. Whatever happens, we have to give 100% effort. The type of performance we have put in the last 2 games, we have to continue that form only. Whatever is the task in hand of a particular person, he should finish it,” Babar said in a video shared by Pakistan Cricket’s Twitter handle.

  • Here’s the correct reason why India was not penalised five runs for Virat Kohli “Fake Fielding” Accent

In the 35th super 12 Match between India and Bangladesh, Virat Kohli was found accused of fake fielding incident when Arshdeep Singh threw the ball to the keeper. Bangladesh wicket-keeper and vice captain Nurul Hasan accused Virat during the crucial match. Here’s the exact image of that incident

Nurul Hasan expressed his disappointment after Bangladesh loss to India by mere 5 runs.

Bangladeshi fans launched a campaign against Kohli and the ICC after viewing the footage. They claimed that Bangladesh should have received 5 runs in accordance with the rules.

Many claimed that the outcome would have been different if Bangladesh had been given the five runs given that The Tigers lost by five runs.

It is under 41.5.6 that, if applicable and if the umpire feels that a player has committed the offence, they can award five penalty runs.

41.5.6  – The bowler’s end umpire shall Signal No ball or Wide to the scorers, if applicable, award 5 Penalty runs to the batting side, inform the captain of the fielding side of the reason for this action and as soon as practicable, inform the captain of the batting side.”

Because they did not view Kohli’s actions as illegal, one of the reasons the on-field umpires did not punish him is possible that:

Section 41.2 talks about unfair actions. It lays down the set of rules for all the sub-sections. Law 41.2.1.1 under the fair and unfair play section states, ” If this is the first offence by that side, the bowler’s end umpire shall then summon the offending player’s captain and issue a first and final warning which shall apply to all team members for the remainder of the match.”

But mainly its upto the umpires to declare it as fake fielding or not and the match officials were happy with what Kohli did and deemed as legal one.

  • Did Virat Kohli Cheat in IND vs BAN? Nurul Hasan Accuses Him of Fake Fielding- Watch Video

Nurul Hassan, the wicket-keeper batter for Bangladesh, accused Virat Kohli of fake fielding in the IND vs BAN thriller that went to the last ball. The incident that Nurul mentioned actually happened in the seventh over of the game when it seemed like Virat Kohli had done a fake gesture of throwing a ball towards the wickets.

The ball had gone to Arsdeep Singh in the deep, and Virat Kohli acted as if he had received a relay throw from Arshdeep, which he ultimately sent to the bowler’s end. However, whether he was really trying to deceive the Bangladeshi batter is a question that we can’t give answers to until Kohli clarifies what really happened at that point in time in the game.

Nurul Hasan, however, made a statement in which he said, ” Certainly the field was wet, and it had an impact, and everyone saw that and eventually what I felt is that when we were talking there was a fake throw and it could have been a five-run penalty, and that could have gone our way, but unfortunately even that didn’t come.”

The ICC rule for a penalty on fake fielding states that “deliberate distraction, deception or obstruction of [the] batter”, and if an incident is deemed to be a breach, the umpire can declare that particular delivery as dead ball and award the batting side five runs.” However, the umpires did not take notice of this particular incident in the game. Ultimately Bangladesh lost by 5 runs in the match.

Dinesh Karthik was very upset and apparently left the field with a miffed reaction after being involved in a mix-up with Virat Kohli that led to his runout. We have never seen this avatar of Karthik on the cricket pitch. He was batting beautifully and had just hit a six in his inning before he was ultimately forced to go out due to the run-out.

The incident happened on the last ball of the 17th over in the IND vs BAN clash in ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Kohli hit a full toss to the covers, and the fielder dived to save the single. Kohli thought the ball would pass the fielder, and he called Dinesh Karthik for a run. However, when Kohli saw that the fielder had dived to save the run, he left Dinesh Karthik hanging in the middle of the crease. This left Karthik fuming with anger at Kohli.

Former Pakistani players react as India fail to pass the pace test at Perth.

After witnessing a match for the ages in an age-old rivalry, India had the blessings of their neighbors across the border, cheering and hoping that they remove the sting of the Proteas pace battery in order to keep their qualification hopes alive.

After a series win at home against them, India would have certainly walked into the game a confident side but fell prey to dodgy selection calls and data driven tactics, which was visible even in the on-field calls during the Proteas chase that left them a little clueless. The Indian batters were left reeling and had no answers to the relentless and fiery South African attack, that extracted steep bounce and pace from a fiery Perth wicket to break the backbone of India’s batting. If it weren’t for Suryakumar Yadav’s pyrotechnics, India was staring at a defeat that would’ve dented their NRR, instead they have two more games remaining against opponents that would certainly be an easier challenge than the Proteas but Pakistan’s journey in this world cup seems to reaching a disappointing end.

Former Pakistani player and captain, Salim Malik in an interview with 24 News HD said that India kabhi nahi chahega Pakistan aage jaaye (India will never want Pakistan to progress), He further went on to say that the Indian players’ intensity and desire seemed lacking as the game progressed and alleged that there was some part of them that lost the game intentionally. Malik also had a few words for the shoddy fielding display from the team and mentions that the drop in fielding standards is alarming and worrisome.

Pakistanis fast bowling stalwart Shoaib Akhtar also expressed his disappointment in a video on his YouTube channel, where he said that “ India ne marwa diya humein (India has killed us here)”. Pakistan’s chances now are subject to complex mathematical equations of NRR and the performance and wins of other teams.

The two neighbors have been in a similar situation before, during the 2019 World Cup where Pakistan’s hopes of staying alive in the competition depended on an Indian victory against the hosts England, which they eventually lost and that led to stern reactions from former cricketers across the border.

Pakistan is currently 5th in the table and have two games remaining against the buoyant Bangladesh and T20 World Cup contenders South Africa. They will need to be at their best in order to make a claim for the semis.

The Indian contingent moves to Adelaide for their encounter against the Bangladesh Tigers, where the rain threat looms large and with it India’s headaches for qualifying.
