Henriques’ half-century led the Sydney Sixers to a victory over the Melbourne Stars in the 15th match of BBL Season 12

Henriques came to the crease in the ninth over and proceeded to form a match-winning partnership with Silk, putting up 88 runs on the board. His efforts helped the Sixers get over the line and come out victorious.

Moises Henriques, the skipper of Sydney Sixers won the toss and decided to field against the Melbourne Stars at the SCG, Sydney.

Melbourne Stars vs Sydney Sixers Match Highlights

The Stars lost two early wickets while batting first, but Joe Clarke and Beau Webster counter-attacked. However, Joe Clarke fell just as the momentum seemed to be shifting. The batters coming in struggled to get going. Beau Webster batted brilliantly, finishing with 78 runs. With the help of his knock, the Melbourne Stars were able to reach 150 in their 20 overs of quota.

The sixers were in a tough spot after the partnership between James Vince and Kurtis Patterson was broken! They quickly lost two wickets and the run rate increased to 9. Jordan Silk was struggling but Moises Henriques batted brilliantly. He played a very calculated knock of 52 runs from 32 balls, getting timely boundaries to take the pressure off Silk who later started to play well. The two added around 90 runs to take their side over the line. In the end, the Sydney Stars won the match by 7 wickets.
