Shivam Mavi, former KKR bowler who was sold for massive 6 crores to Gujarat Titans in IPL Auction 2023 has all praise for Hardik Pandya captaincy. He is hoping to get a chance to play in the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka starting from 3rd January.
“Hardik Pandya supports every player. He is a great leader. It is very difficult to be the IPL champions in the first outing but he managed to do it. He led Gujarat Titans from the front and became champions. He is a calm leader but took some bold decisions,” said Shivam Mavi to PTI

“As a captain Hardik bhai is very shrewd and a master tactician. He knows exactly whom to bowl when and whom to promote in the batting order. I know it is not going to be easy for me but I am just hoping to get a game, perform there and be a regular for India,” he added.
After putting on a strong showing in the domestic matches, the fast bowler successfully argued his case for being chosen for the national team. Shivam Mavi, who represented Uttar Pradesh, took 10 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 competition and 14 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Shivam Mavi was recently purchased by the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023 auction for an astounding amount of ₹6 crore. The 24-year-old discussed being chosen for GT and how KKR helped him to up his all-rounder game.
