The Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant was doing a phenomenal job for India in Test cricket. He was the hero of the historic Gabba Test match which India won out of nowhere to win the previous Border Gavaskar Trophy Test Series.
Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant was injured in a car crash about two months earlier, and since then, he has been out of action. It is expected that he will make a return to cricket in the month of September or October for India.
Rishabh Pant has suffered a major knee injury that will take about 4-6 months to heal completely. Netizens on Twitter are claiming that India is badly missing Rishabh Pant as batters like Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Suryakumar Yadav have failed against the Australian bowling line-up.

Even in away conditions he did well in England etc in red ball cricket. Been our most important batter when available with Pant. His main issue is availability when it comes to this format

Right to say that since last 2 years rohit has been our best test batsman after pant.
Rohit Jadeja Pant. India atm have only 3 proper test batsmen. All others are playing off their reputation and names.
