Former England captain Michael Vaughan has recently shared his thoughts on Rashid Khan’s performance in the IPL match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The spin maestro, known for his economic bowling and wicket-taking ability, had a forgettable outing, registering his second-worst spell in the league with figures of 0/54 in four overs. Vaughan expressed his surprise at seeing Rashid being hit all over the park by KKR’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Andre Russell.
Vaughan particularly praised Gurbaz’s attacking strategy against the Afghan bowler, stating that the young batter treated Rashid like an average leg-spinner, hitting him to all parts of the ground. Gurbaz himself revealed his simple plan after the match, saying that he would go for the loose balls and build his innings accordingly.

Despite the disappointing performance, Rashid will look to bounce back in GT’s upcoming match against Delhi Capitals on May 2. The Afghan bowler has a reputation for demolishing batting line-ups single-handedly, and fans will hope to see him back in his form.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, on the other hand, was the architect of KKR’s 179 run innings, contributing a magnificent 81 off just 39 balls. His attacking approach against Rashid and the other bowlers had allowed KKR to reach a respectable total, although it was not enough to stop GT from winning the match comfortably by seven wickets.
Overall, the match between GT and KKR was an exciting affair, with both teams putting up impressive performances. The IPL is known for its unpredictability, and this match was a prime example of how anything can happen in cricket. Cricket fans worldwide will be eagerly looking forward to the next IPL matches, hoping for more exciting cricketing action.
