The England all-rounder often touted as the best multi-faceted player of this generation has announced that he will retire from the OneDay Internationals on Tuesday. Ben Stokes revealed in his retirement post on Instagram that he will don the blue jersey for England in the 50-over cricket for the last time against South Africa on 19th July 2022.

Ben Stokes was recently appointed the skipper of the English white-ball side, and his camaraderie with coach Brendon McCullum has transformed England’s team in Test cricket. The 2019 World Cup hero has shockingly decided to quit ODIs at the peak of his abilities. The cricketing world is in uproar after his sudden announcement that took everyone by surprise.
