“Thinking About Retiring in 12 Months” – David Warner

"I'll do part-time commentary over the next 12 months, after which I'll think about retiring or continuing," says David Warner

David Warner has confirmed that he is going to retire in one year from international cricket. He recently scored a double century against South Africa in a Test match. Warner is not happy with Cricket Australia cause the Australian cricket board has denied him any leadership roles despite Warner’s appeal and letters.

David Warner said, “I’ll do part-time commentary over the next 12 months, after which I’ll think about retiring or continuing.” Warner has confirmed that he wants to do commentary after retirement, and he is planning to settle into the role of a commentator while actively playing cricket. Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has followed the exact same approach in his career.

David Warner Retirement

David Warner is going to represent Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which is scheduled to take place in India in February 2023. His form at the top can be the deciding factor in the Test series. Following this, Warner will play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023. He is expected to lead the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 due to Rishabh Pant’s unavailability.

We can expect the official announcement about David Warner’s retirement from cricket after the 2023 World Cup, which is scheduled to be played in India in the months of October and November.
