IND vs NZ 3rd T20I: “Prithvi Shaw is likely to play the next match”, Expert weighs in on India’s T20I lineup shakeup!

Prithvi Shaw is Back and Ready to Shine: Mohammad Kaif

After a string of subpar performances by Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan in the second T20I against New Zealand, former India player Mohammad Kaif believes it’s time for Prithvi Shaw to step up to the plate. Shaw, who has been warming the bench since his recall, has been making waves in domestic cricket and Kaif believes he’s more than ready for his international return.

After a long wait, Prithvi Shaw is finally back in the mix for the Indian cricket team and it looks like he’s ready to light up the third and final T20I against New Zealand!

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif is confident that Shaw will get the chance to prove himself in the upcoming match. With Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan failing to deliver in the second consecutive game of the series, Kaif believes it’s time for the management to shake things up and give Shaw the nod.

The aggressive opener has been kept on the sidelines by Rahul Dravid and Hardik Pandya, but now Kaif is calling for Shaw to be unleashed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“Prithvi Shaw is a natural attacking batsman and he’s never one to shy away from a challenge. By sending him out there as an opener, India can set the tone for the rest of the innings and put the Kiwis on the back foot right from the start,” Kaif says.

With Ishan Kishan’s position at the top of the order looking uncertain, Kaif thinks that moving him to number 3 and dropping Rahul Tripathi, who has been underperforming, could be the way forward for the Indian team.”
