    Indian Squad for T20I World Cup, Australia and South Africa T20Is Announced

    The Indian cricket team squad for the T20I World Cup 2022, scheduled to take place in Australia, has been announced by the BCCI. Along with it, the squad for India’s T20I series against Australia and South Africa has also been announced. 

    Rohit Sharma will be leading the side as captain, while KL Rahul will lead the side as vice-captain in the upcoming T20I World Cup 2022 and the series versus Australia and South Africa. 

    Arshdeep Singh, who impressed everyone with his yorkers at the death overs in Asia Cup 2022, is one of the four specialist seam bowlers selected for the T20I World Cup 2022. Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are also making their return to the Indian squad after missing out on Asia Cup due to injuries. 

    Mohammad Shami has been selected as a reserve bowler alongside the spinner Ravi Bishnoi. Shreyas Iyer will be in the reserve players as well for the T20I World Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has missed out due to an injury he recently suffered due to a mishap during a ski adventure. 

    Deepak Hooda has managed to safeguard his place in the upcoming T20I World Cup. Hardik Pandya will be India’s specialist all-rounder. Sanju Samson and Deepak Chahar are a few of the notable players who have not been selected in the Indian squad for the World Cup. 

    Axar Patel has been picked as the first choice spinning all-rounder in place of Ravindra Jadeja, while Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant are selected as the wicket-keepers.

    India squad for ICC T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

    Standby players – Mohd. Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar.

    Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will report to the NCA for conditions work during the T20I series against Australia and South Africa.
