Watch: Cheteshwar Pujara Continues his Golden Run in County Cricket

The Indian middle-order batter Cheteshwar Pujara decided to stay back after India vs England 5th Test concluded to play for his county cricket team Sussex in the ongoing County Cricket Championship. Cheteshwar Pujara found his rhythm back before the Test against England by scoring two big doubled hundreds for Sussex in the County Championship Division Two.

On 20th July 2022, Pujara added another double hundred to his name in County Cricket as he scored 231 runs off 403 balls against Middlesex. His rich form continues to impress the fans and cricketers alike. Recently he was also seen rolling his hand around for an over for Sussex in the previous match. Here’s the video of Pujara reaching his third double ton in County Championship Division Two:

The official Twitter handle of the County Championship posted the video of Puajra reaching the double hundred with the caption, “@Cheteshwar1 does it again.” Pujara’s inning has helped Sussex cross the five hundred run in the game against Middlesex. He has put his team in a commanding position on the second day of the match itself.

Shocking: Ben Stokes Announces Retirement from ODIs

Pujara was also named the interim skipper for Sussex in County Championship after the original captain Tom Haines suffered an injury in the game against Leicestershire. He will likely head the team from the front for about 5-6 weeks until Tom Haines returns to the side.

Pujara has become one of the most dependable batters for Sussex, and he has replicated the trust shown in him by the side with his prolific run in the ongoing tournament. He earned the call back for the Indian side after his massive flow of runs. He also opened for India in the absence of Rohit Sharma and scored a fifty at the front.
